And the winner is...

You might have heard that the creator of the comic strip Cathy is retiring. This has opened a slot in newspapers nationwide for a new comic.

The managment at the Telegram polled readers and the clear winner was Pickles. I only voted once and Pickles was way ahead when I started my zero-budget viral campaign, so this is an honest victory.

It's funny how a simple comic strip can make people so happy. I spoke with my managing editor yesterday about the connection my family has with the creator of Pickles and it literally made his day.

Of course, now I have an assignment to try and do a Q and A type story with the creator of Pickles.
