Emma, Our Little Whistling Pioneer

One of the great things about family home evening is that children can freely do things that might embarrass the whole family if they had been at church.

Like tonight our family was singing Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel and Emma just spontaneously started whistling the third verse. We just soldiered on as she whistled -- didn't miss a beat. I honestly don't know if anybody else in the family noticed.

It was entertaining for me because she can only whistle by sucking air inward -- most people push the air out. She couldn't take the act into the fourth verse because she was out of breath.

Maybe somebody could make up a new song inspired by Emma. It could be called Whistle While You Work to Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel.
