I was walking out of the historic Bell County Courthouse today when I passed two suspicious looking young men sitting in a parked older model car. The man in the passenger side of the car kept leaning forward, while the man in the drivers seat seemed to be acting as a lookout. As I crossed the street I thought to myself, "that passenger is rolling a marijuana cigarette."
When I got back to my office, I called the police department and told them about my suspicion. Within a minute I heard the call being dispatched on the police scanner. I then heard one of the responding officers report that based on my description of the men he had located them and that they had left the car.
I heard another officer say they had probable cause for a search because he had walked by their parked car and saw marijuana seeds on the front seat.
I felt like I made a good contribution in the community today. I told my wife that tomorrow I'm going to look like burglars.

We need more brave citizens like you out there. I called once but was told they had multiple calls already, kind of discouraged me from calling again.
