Beware of the Oven Mitt

When our oldest son Paul was just a toddler and both Brandy and I were students at BYU we had a unique experience with an oven mitt.

Our son loved to pull everything out of the kitchen drawers. One day I found myself using a cow oven mitt as a puppet. I thought it would be funny to have the cow attack me like a mean dog might. The show ended up scaring our son so bad that he cried and was afraid of the oven mitt that looked like a cow.

It took a lot of work but he eventually overcame his fear of oven mitts. Here he is chasing us around the house with a truly scary oven mitt that should have been thrown away long before this event.

He is so cute, looks like a Romer in that pic. Leave it up to you to scare your child with an oven mitt.

It didn't scare his socks off, but it did get one shoe.
