I forgot about these pictures

On September 27, Rebekah and the middle school drumline competed in an all-high school drumline competition in Plano, TX. Yes, they were the only middle school in the entire competition. The Lorena High School drumline swept the competition with a first in everything. While the middle school didn't do as well, they did beat out five high schools. Yeah, them!

Rebekah found out about the drumline late in the summer, so she was sort of forced to be a flag girl. Trust me, they didn't have to twist her arm too hard. She enjoyed it somewhat, but when the drumline starts practicing again, she's going to try out for the xylophone.

We didn't attend the competition, but our friends, the Partins, took these pictures and emailed them to us. Thank you!

Great photos !
Flag girls are a very important part of the band during competitions. The judges look at the creativity, style and accuracy of the flags together. Flag girls can distract judges from a "not so good band" and they can highlight a very good band.
Way to go Rebekah !

Nice pictures.

I am not missing all the band activities that our children supported.
