I would have never spoken to Paul if we had gone to high school together. He would have scared me. But he cleaned up well, don't ya think? The above picture is one of the oldest digital pictures I could find. It was probably taken in early 1997 at BYU. That is Paul Ivan on his lap. Apparently neither our wedding nor pre-children pictures have been scanned in. Really, the lesson in all this is that you shouldn't judge people. No matter what stage in life they are in now, they can change. Paul did. He cut his hair and served an honorable mission. And then I met him. And then I married him. And he's continued to get better every year.

Wow - never let it be said that the women in our homes don't truely run the show. Paul's picture was great - again, VERY BRAVE Indeed, but this one with Paul Ivan is definitely the man we know and love in Waco 2nd Ward (although truth be known, when Paul and I encountered each other in the hall, we looked, laughed, and headed outside the building for a great belly laugh)! Paul, you are truely a good sport.
Jim
Now that's the Paul I recognize. I'd love to learn about how that run-of-the-mill teenager from the photo below turned into a man filled with the light and love of Christ.
I'm still digging the other picture. :)
What a sweet wife you are! Such a cute daddy/son picture, too. :)
