It's almost done. It's been 3 long months, but my parent's house is looking pretty good. The new carpet will be laid in about a week, but my mom is planning on moving back in tomorrow. She's been staying with my grandparents since June, and that's nice, but she's ready to get back into her house.

She and my father have updated the decor of the house and it looks fabulous. The wallpaper is now timeless and tasteful. The "flat" paint has been replaced with a washable one. (Thank goodness! My kids have damaged some of her walls before.) I can't wait to see it finished. Out of this tragedy, a more beautiful home has emerged. There would have been easier ways to remodel their home, but you take what you can get--right?
