I hated to do it. I really did. But I took Emma and Isaac to the doctor's on Thursday, and they both got shots. Isaac got one shot, but poor Emma had to get FIVE!
I was completely honest with both of them, so they knew what to expect. Isaac went first, and as he predicted, he "held it in." He was an awesome big brother. Emma laid down and was okay for the first three. Then the nurse unexpectedly switched legs, and she started to whimper. The MMR shot was last. Apparently this one hurts. Emma lost it. She boo-hoo'd all the way home. Actually not all the way because half-way home, I called my mom on the cell phone and let Emma talk to her. Grandma's magic worked again.
By the time this picture was taken, she was feeling just fine. And now the nurse at school won't kick her out. And to tell you the truth, that's the only reason I did this.

You are a blogging machine today.
First, I am afraid to take my boys for their shots, good thing they are a year apart so it won't be the same day. Second, photographing kids is always difficult. Third, your parents' house looks beautiful and I agree, about there being a better way to update without water damage.
Poor kid. To many shots.I wonder, are they all necessary?
Well, it is over now. Thank goodness. The school is happy.
