One year for Christmas my two brothers and I received dummies from Santa Clause. My mom made each boy and his dummy matching pajamas. It was probably the most memorable Christmas of my youth. I think my brother Ethan's dummy, Howdy Doody, was the first to meet its demise. My other brother, in a fit of anger, busted out the back of Howdy's head with a hammer and that was the end of him.
Anyway, flash forward years later. My hammer-head brother decides to relieve himself of feelings of remorse by purchasing my now-grown brother a new Howdy Doody dummy. I took the pictures they sent of their Christmas gathering and created this video.
At the end of the video there is mention made of a bubble gum hat. That is just sad story about a boy on a fishing trip who is cursed by the elements. While in a boat his hat is blown off by the wind and he watches helplessly as it sinks to the bottom of the lake, never to be seen again.

That's funny! Guess Woody really is the newer version of Howdy Doody! ;)
My boys watched this but were a little concerned that it wasn't Woody.
